Amanda Stuart’s Story

Divorce Coaching is in its very early stages in New Zealand, so what led me to become one? My experience of divorce after twenty years of marriage and raising two children was the major catalyst. At the time I realised there was very little in the way of professional support and certainly not the type of coaching that can turn this dramatic event into a positive life-changing event.

My personal experience with divorce was long and drawn out, complicated by joint business interests with my ex-husband and the global recession. To my surprise, I came out the other end stronger, happier and with an enhanced appreciation of life.

It is my passion to help others who are struggling with divorce to do the same.

My work experience has been varied and includes financial counselling, tax advisory, accounting software consulting and nearly two decades in the New Zealand wine industry.

I started my coach training with the New Zealand School of Coaching and then found my niche in divorce coaching by studying with CDC, in Florida.

In addition to building up my coaching practice my goal is to bring into the public eye the benefits of divorce coaching and to work together with CDC and local coach training centres to provide specialised divorce coach training to coaches in New Zealand and Australia.
